Reporting to the Manager Microanalysis Instrumentation, the Engineer Microanalysis Instrumentation is responsible for carrying out and optimizing the adjustment of microanalysis instruments to bring them to the level of performance defined in the specifications in autonomy, proactivity and adaptability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Instrument MAP:
- Carry out and adapt your actions to pass tests and resolve malfunctions in a complex situation by following protocols;
- Ensure the monitoring of equipment during MAD (Making Available);
- Trace and ensure the recording of information relating to the progress of the instrument, MAP documents, FAT ( Factory Acceptance Test), shipping, etc.;
- Demonstrate the contractual specifications validating the delivery of the FAT instrument when they concern standard specifications (remotely if necessary);
Installation of instruments and user training on customer site or remotely :
- Carry out the SAT (Site Acceptance Test), with a view to customer acceptance when it concerns standard specifications;
- Carry out customer maintenance and equipment testing;
- Carry out the installation of accessories/upgrades;
- Train the customer(s) in the use of the instrument and maintenance operations using teaching skills;
- Carry out systematic and summary reporting of your activity (on your job, at the customer's, for after-sales service) and regularly propose action plans ;
Continuous improvement :
- Propose improvements (EC (Engineering Change), lean , etc.) and propose relevant actions for the activity;
- Participate in the development of technical documents corresponding to the activity;
- Contribute to the process of creating technical training at Cameca;
- Support new arrivals in their activities and train them according to a defined framework or program;
- Respect quality and HSE procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Engineering degree with a broad and adaptable spectrum of knowledge (electronics, physics, analysis techniques, micromechanics, ultra-high vacuum);
- Beginner or first experience in a similar position (scientific or medical instrumentation, semiconductor equipment manufacturer or large instruments, special machines, etc.).
