Job Description: 

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the transfer of manufacturing lines, new product introductions, and the overall management of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, problem-solving skills, and experience in an aerospace environment.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies.

  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating with design and production teams.

  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and apply corrective actions to resolve production issues.

  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other digital tools to design and improve manufacturing layouts.

  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and quality.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures.

  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.

  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Participate in supplier development and qualification processes.

  • Ensure safety practices are followed and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, aerospace, industrial) or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar industry.

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish and English).

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.

  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA).

  • Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
